Entries open for our M&S Farm Resilience award

We are delighted that M&S is once again partnering with The Prince’s Countryside Fund as part of its annual farming awards programme this summer.

The Prince’s Countryside Fund/M&S Farm Resilience Award is open to all livestock and arable farmers across the UK and Ireland (not just M&S suppliers) and is looking to celebrate those family farming business that are working to keep their enterprise fit for future generations, perhaps through pro-active succession planning, risk management, expansion or diversification.

Three winners will be chosen from across the UK and Ireland; with awards being presented at the Balmoral Show in Ireland, The Royal Highland Show and the Royal Welsh Show.

Last year’s winners included John Dobson from County Armagh who built resilience into his business by minimising risk in his beef enterprise. Meanwhile in Wales, Aled Jones and son, Osian invested in new facilities to develop their business further, scooping the award for the England & Wales region. In Scotland, the Rhind family from Morayshire demonstrated how diversification has enabled future generations to join the family business.

Entry forms for the 2019 awards can be downloaded here and the deadline for entries is Friday 29th March 2019.
