PCF chosen as SEAS charity of the year

February 9, 2022

The Prince’s Countryside Fund is proud to be the South of England Agricultural Society’s Charity of the Year.

Partnering with the SEAS means that the work we do can reach an even larger network of people who want to help create a real future for rural Britain.

We will be working together to bring greater awareness to the needs of those living and working in our rural communities so that we can provide support to those who need it most. Projects that we have helped in the South of England include Lurgashall Village Shop & Post Office; a hub that has brought its community together and, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, became a lifeline for those without means of transport. Another project currently under way is Engage Wealden, which aims to tackle isolation amongst the elderly and vulnerable in their rural village with volunteer-run social clubs.

To spread the word of what we do even farther, we will be attending the South of England Show on the 10th, 11th and 12th June. The South of England Show has been running for 55 years and has as many as 80,000 attendees, making it a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase what we do and generate as much support as we can to help Britain’s farming families to thrive! We very much look forward to working with the South of England Agricultural Society this year and to advocating for the countryside at their events!
