National Free Wills Month

At The Prince’s Countryside Fund, we aim to provide optimism, hope and practical guidance to those in the British countryside who need it most.
Be they farming families, rural communities or our supporters, we know how much of a difference it makes when help is given in times of difficulty. Sometimes, this includes writing a Will.
Every March and October, charities across the country participate in Free Wills Month. The PCF is no exception and so once again, we are partnering with Farewill to provide you with their free Will writing service until 31st March 2022.
It’s important to have a Will and Farewill are there to help it be as simple a process as possible, by creating your Will in as little as 15 minutes. Whilst there is no obligation to do so, you also have the option to leave us a gift and continue your support for the countryside for many more years to come.
One of the benefits of leaving us a gift is that your donation will be tax-free and, depending on the amount donated, can lower the tax on the remainder of your estate.
It can also help people like Alison, a Zoology and Ecological Consultancy graduate, who has been leading volunteer tasks at Durham Wildlife Trust, such as planting wildflower meadows, hedgelaying, fencing and general wildlife maintenance. Without the grant from the PCF, Alison wouldn’t otherwise have been able to afford the training she has undertaken so far and therefore, providing young people with this kind of access is one of the ways your donation can help ensure a real future for rural Britain.
