The Trustees and staff of The Prince’s Countryside Fund are deeply saddened by the death of our dear friend and Trustee Mark Duddridge, who has been a guiding light for the charity for over eight years.
Mark was a member of The Prince’s Rural Action Programme Leadership Team, which was subsequently absorbed into the Prince’s Countryside Fund when it was established as an independent charity. Appointed as a Trustee of The Prince’s Countryside Fund in 2015, Mark immediately joined the PCF’s Grant Sub-committee, reflecting his strong interest in rural communities, and has been instrumental in awarding the PCF’s rural community grants ever since, which now total over £11m. His in-depth knowledge of Cornwall, and ability to bring people together to do good in the county was astounding, while his commitment to build resilient rural communities across the UK was an inspiration to all of us at the PCF.
