#GivingTuesday

November 30, 2021

#GivingTuesday is held every year and is recognised as a global day of giving! Giving Tuesday typically follows the Black Friday and Cyber Monday festivities.

What is #GivingTuesday?

#GivingTuesday is held every year and is recognised as a global day of giving! Giving Tuesday typically follows the Black Friday and Cyber Monday festivities. In the UK, approximately £6 Billion is generated across both days.

Giving Tuesday aims to encourage us all to take time from the festivities and reflect on how we can and instead of spending; support an organisation of choice.

How can you support us this #GivingTuesday:

This #GivingTuesday, why not you can support our vision to create a real future for rural Britain?

You can do this by joining Friends of the Countryside. On a monthly basis, you can provide our rural communities, farmers and families with the security that they need to continue to thrive. A gift of £3, £7 or £12 a month allows us to provide the countryside with resources that transform ways of living.

The Farm Resilience Programme offers free business skills workshops, training and support to family farmers across the UK. As a Friend of the Countryside, you are directly contributing to the growth of a more sustainable Britain.

Nigel, a farmer from Cornwall who participated in the programme said:

This has been so useful for us as we have been going through big changes on our farm. Learning how to work with my bank manager will make us more self-sufficient and help us to be financially viable in the future.”

Benefits of being a Friend of the Countryside:

As a thank you for your kindness and generosity, you can expect a quarterly e-newsletter and curated communications about our work with stories and people that you have helped and more.
