Membership Criteria

A key characteristic of a Farm Support Group is that they focus on their immediate localities; they are farmer-led, responding to immediate needs in their area.

  • Farm Support Groups should be locally focused, legally constituted organisations.
  • Your annual running costs should be under £500,000.
  • You should have a minimum service/support offer, such as a helpline, training and social activities.
  • You should have employed staff and/or volunteers.
  • A minimum of 50% of the activities/support offered should be targeted at those working in agriculture and their families.

Membership Benefits

  1. Invitation to apply to FSG grant funding rounds from the RCF. 
  2. Inclusion of articles in, and receipt of, our quarterly newsletter, Over the Gate.
  3. Support and advice, including personalised funding support and assistance with measuring impact and value.
  4. Invitations to events including the annual RCF Farm Support Group conference.
  5. Training opportunities and regular free online seminars.
  6. A listing in the National Directory of Farm and Rural Support.
  7. Membership of the The Royal Countryside Fund Farm Support Group Initiative Facebook group.
