Why we help

Why we help

Our strategy sets out clear targets for The Royal Countryside Fund over the next three years – extending our reach to support 10,000 family farms and increasing our help to rural communities to become more self-sufficient and viable.

Our practical activity – through initiatives such as The Farm Resilience Programme and our Supporting Rural Communities grants – draws upon our experience of working in the field; we listen to those we support and respond to their needs.

Over the past decade, we have carried out a number of research projects into issues facing rural and farming communities, which set out some of the challenges that our work overcomes.
