The Farmer Network
About the Case Study / Project
The Farmer Network covers Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales and aims to maintain and support a viable farming community, maximising rural income, and inform and educate, raising the profile of farming in Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales. The grant has been used for the Farmer Network Training Voucher Scheme. To date the project has distributed 56 training vouchers to 16 – 24 year olds, to subsidise training in skills helping them become employed in the rural economy, such as towing a trailer, first aid, cattle foot trimming and shearing.
