About the Case Study / Project
Askham Bryan is a specialist land-based college operating over the north of England. Funding has be awarded to set up the "National Centre for the Uplands" in collaboration with York University and Duchy College to lead training and research into hill farming and land management. The funding will pay for 50% of the salary of the Director of the NCU who will deliver key outputs of a skills programme with 200 beneficiaries, hold an annual conference, plan 20 school visits and establish a volunteer network.
