The Prince’s Countryside Fund launches its new fundraising pack

15 June 2012

There’s no better opportunity to show your appreciation for our great British countryside than during National Countryside Week. The Prince’s Countryside Fund is asking people to show their support for our greatest national asset by organising fundraising events during the week.

From baking cakes to sponsored walks, all the money raised for the Fund during the week will be used to support the people who care for our countryside. Launched in 2010, the Fund has already given away over £1.1 million to 35 successful projects and with your help, the Fund can continue to help support projects, large and small, across the UK, which are really making a difference to the countryside.

To help get you thinking, the Fund has created a pack with lots of ideas on how you can help which can be downloaded from www.princescountrysidefund.org.ukIf you are taking part, log onto our Facebook page and tell us what you’re doing to help during the Week.

Victoria Harris, from The Prince’s Countryside Fund said, “With the Jubilee and the Olympics, this is a great year of celebration for Britain.  We are asking people not to forget the countryside at a time when farming and the rural economies needs our help most.”
