Can you take a photograph that encapsulates your Great British Countryside?

In order to participate please send your photographs that depict the Great British Countryside to Archant Life, and you could win a new Olympus SZ-30MR Digital Camera and accessories worth over £300, along with the chance to have your photograph displayed at St James’ Palace. It’s an opportunity not to be missed!
This is a photographic competition that is open to everyone and all areas of photography. The only specification is that your photograph must capture the Great British Countryside. You may decide to photograph iconic British landscapes, the vast array of wildlife that resides in Great Britain, quaint rural areas, events orobjects.
How the competition will work
The competition will be judged in ten regions across Great Britain, (the regions are listed below).
One winner will be picked from each of the ten regions, and each regional winner will win a new Olympus SZ-30MR Digital Camera.
The regional winners will then be invited to St James’ Palace, London to a Private Garden Party hosted by HRH The Prince of Wales on 6th July 2011.
Once at the Palace, the regional winners will have their photographs displayed and then judged by leading photographers and Trustees of the Prince’s Countryside Fund.
The Prince of Wales will announce the winning photograph at St James’ Palace.
The judging process
Once the competition has closed, Archant Life Magazine Editors will choose ten winning images from the ten regions
The 10 regional winners will then be invited to St James’ Palace and the overall winner will have their photograph crowned as ‘The Great British Countryside Photograph 2011’
