Business in the Community has helped to develop this initiative through its Prince’s Rural Action Programme. It will be managing The Prince’s Countryside Fund and its trading subsidiary, Countryside Fund Trading Ltd.

The purpose of The Prince’s Rural Action Programme at BITC is to engage business to make a positive difference to rural communities, through the way in which they do business, in order to sustain the rural economy, enhance the environment and protect the nation’s cultural heritage and landscape. The companies on The Prince’s Rural Action Leadership Team have helped to develop The Prince’s Countryside Fund.
